Justice Will Come

Occupation, uranium, terror, war,
A land and a people, who’ve been here before,
Liberation, peace and justice are lies,
A people whose struggle reaches blind eyes.

Imaging the look reflected in your eyes,
After you lost your limbs to a mine,
And drones make you afraid of the skies,
Imagine the look on your face,
Whilst you try to fathom,
Why in the eyes of the world,
You  remain on the enemies side?
Though they massacre your people,
And enslave nations with lies,
Imagine if they understood,
That their names are inscribed,
In the pain you endure.

Imagine a land wounded,
Through decades of battle,
Perpetual suffering and pain,
Imagine a land where,
Scarred hearts line the streets,
And mines line the earth,
Where children once wept,
Imagine a land where,
Our hands delivered this pain,
Visualise in your mind,
The hearts which we drove insane,
Imagine a land with a people,
Who refuse to be weak,
In the face of drones,
They won’t ever accept defeat.

Occupation, uranium, terror, war,
A land and a people, who’ve been here before,
Liberation, peace and justice will come,
To a people whose daughter, I have become.

A land that carries in it  hearts made of gold,
A people whose strength will never grow old,
Let me take you to the place the east meets the west,
And introduce you to the soil of Afghanistan.

For all of the voiceless Afghan’s we desperately need to hear,
I am with you.
